Relational memory in multidimensional schizotypy

Most of our memory involves connection-making: linking a face to a name, a person to a place, or an object to the moment you last saw it. In this research project, we tested how well people form those links (relational memory) and whether subtle, everyday variations in schizophrenia-spectrum traits relate to that ability. We found the pattern that higher levels of negative schizotypy traits were associated with less accurate and slower relational memory, while other dimensions were not, showing why breaking traits into dimensions matters instead of using a single total score.
